Practice Area
Mutual-consent and contested divorce, handled with discretion.
Overview
We act in mutual-consent and contested divorce petitions, judicial separation, nullity, and the financial and custodial questions that accompany them — alimony, permanent maintenance, division of assets and parenting arrangements.
A mutual-consent divorce that is properly documented is faster, cheaper and far less damaging than a contested one. We test whether that route is available in every matter before advising otherwise, and where a contest is unavoidable, we prepare for it thoroughly from the first hearing.
Services Offered
Mutual-consent divorce petitions and settlement deeds
Contested divorce on statutory grounds
Alimony, permanent maintenance and asset division
Judicial separation and nullity petitions
Custody and parenting arrangements within divorce proceedings
Transfer petitions and NRI divorce matters
Our Process
Four stages, each with a defined output — so you always know what has happened and what comes next.
We identify the applicable personal law, the available grounds, and whether a mutual-consent route is realistically achievable.
Where consent is possible, we negotiate and draft settlement terms covering maintenance, assets and custody so nothing resurfaces later.
We file the petition, prepare you for statements before the court, and manage the statutory waiting period and its waiver where available.
We obtain the decree and, where required, enforce maintenance or property terms that are not voluntarily honoured.
Benefits
These are commitments, not aspirations. If we fail one of them on your matter, tell the partner handling it.
Mutual-consent route tested first to reduce cost and conflict
Settlement deeds drafted to be final and enforceable
Sensitive handling of matters involving children
Experience with NRI and transfer petition complications
