Practice Area
Direct and indirect tax advisory, assessment and appeals.
Overview
We advise individuals, firms and companies on direct and indirect tax positions, represent clients in scrutiny assessments, reassessment and search proceedings, and appear in appeals before the Commissioner, Tribunal and higher forums.
Tax disputes are won on documentation created long before the notice arrives. We advise on positions prospectively where we can, and where a notice has already issued, we respond on the record with the material that supports the position actually taken in the return.
Services Offered
Income tax notices, scrutiny assessments and reassessment
GST registration, compliance, audits and show-cause notices
Appeals before CIT(A), ITAT and appellate authorities
Tax planning for transactions and business restructuring
Search, survey and summons representation
Penalty, prosecution and rectification proceedings
Our Process
Four stages, each with a defined output — so you always know what has happened and what comes next.
We read the notice against the return and underlying records to establish exactly what is being questioned and what supports your position.
We draft the reply with supporting documentation and appear before the assessing or adjudicating authority.
Where an adverse order issues, we advise on appeal prospects and stay of demand before filing, not after.
We prepare grounds, paper books and case law compilations, and argue the appeal before the Tribunal or High Court.
Benefits
These are commitments, not aspirations. If we fail one of them on your matter, tell the partner handling it.
Deadline-sensitive handling of notices and appeals
Stay of demand pursued alongside the appeal
Coordination with your accountant rather than duplication
Prospective advice that reduces future exposure
